Ein Krokodilweib kokettierte

A crocodile, a female, went
coquetting with an elephant.
She liked the flirty element,
but mainly craved self-betterment.A long poem, published in ‘Simplicissimus’ in 1912, with pictures by the talented Heinrich Kley. My full version is for my potential book of 200 German-Language Poems, one per poet.
